Central Jakarta Ready for 17th Popnas and 11th Peparpenas 2025

The Central Jakarta Administration is ready to hold the 17th National Student Sports Week (Popnas) and the 11th National Student Paralympic Week (Peparpenas) 2025, which will be held from November 1 to 10.

There are six venues that will be used

Head of Central Jakarta Youth and Sport Sub-agency, Joko Margo Santoso said several venues located in Central Jakarta are ready to be used for several sports competitions.

"There are six venues that will be used, namely the Senen and Cempaka Putih Sports Halls, the Bung Karno Aquatic Stadium and Shooting Range, the Asiop Field and the Borobudur Hotel Tennis Court," he said, Tuesday (10/28).

He explained that the Senen Sports Hall will be used for Pencak Silat sports competitions, Cempaka Putih Sports Hall for Sepak Takraw competitions, while Swimming and Para Swimming will use the GBK Aquatic Stadium.

The football event will be held at the Asiop Field, shooting at the GBK Shooting Range, and tennis at the Borobudur Hotel field.

According to him, the National Student Sports Week will feature approximately 6,000 to 7,000 athletes and official teams from 38 provinces.

"We are massively publicizing to the public to see and support the Jakarta contingent competing, while also defending the overall championship at POPNAS 2025," he stated.
